Jefferson County Conservation is celebrating Migratory Bird Day by hosting a birding hike with birders Diane Porter and Therese Cummiskey. The month of May offers wonderful bird watching with colorful warblers migrating through and our local nesting species in full song. Bring along your binoculars and meet Therese and Diane at the entrance of Cedar Creek Timber on 223rd Street. 223rd Street is along Libertyville Road southwest of Fairfield. Participants will walk along Cedar View Trail (an old railroad right of way) to the bridge over Cedar Creek.
