Located on the southwest edge of Fairfield, Jefferson County Park is Jefferson County Conservation’s most widely used park. The 24-site campground offers both electric and water hookups with a dump station on the way out of the park.  Jefferson County Park main page >

Overview

  • 24 campsites with 20/30/50-amp electric hookups
  • Open May-October
  • First come, first served- No reservations
  • Sites are gravel pads with campfire ring and picnic table
  • Shower House and Flushing Toilets
  • Dump Station Available
  • Nightly Rate: $20 with electricity/ $15 without
  • 14-day limit within 21-day period
  • Three pull through campsites are available which range from 75-95 feet for longer campers and RV’s

Round Prairie Park

Location

Nine miles southeast of Fairfield on Glasgow Road and two miles south on Tamarack Ave.

Nestled along the Cedar Creek, Round Prairie Park is a mixture of prairie and timber landscapes which cover just over 100 acres. Round Prairie has a small playground, fishing ponds, native prairie, and shelter. A canoe access to Cedar Creek lies in the park and is a local favorite for paddling the Cedar.  Round Prairie Park main page >

  • No water or electric available
  • Open May-October

  • Nearest dump station is in Jefferson County Park, Fairfield
  • Nightly Rate: $5 per night

JCC Board Meetings

The Conservation Board meets the last Wednesday of every month at 4:00 p.m at the Nature Center in Jefferson County Park. These meetings are open to the public. See most current agenda.
